Moral Philosophy

Philosophy in Cyberspace
This is a very hackneyed title for a very up-to-date site at Monash University. There is a temptation to 'waste' time browsing through the potential sources. Skim through Sections 1-5. Then go back to access the best two or three sites.

Ancient Philosophy and Classic Thought
This is an excellent site to browse for information about the foundations of moral philosophy.

The Vocabulary of Deep Thought
This is the first chapter of the Big Dummies Guide to Theology, Philosophy and Ethics - or moral philosophy for technoids. As the titles suggest, this is a somewhat iconoclastic approach to the 'standards' of moral philosophy.

Chinese Philosophical Etext Archive
Original texts (plus notes) on several Pre-Qin and middle-era Chinese philosphers are being collected in the Weslyan archives.

China News Digest
This site contains articles in its archive section on more Pre-Qin texts, including Laotse. These articles are less 'academic' and easier to read than the Weslyan site.

Theravada.NET
An introduction to the dhamma.

Hinduism: The Sankhya School
The first of the Hindu Darsanas

Katapayadi Sankya
Sankya mantras

Yoga
One of the best known of the Darsanas

Ethics and Bioethics, Philosophy in Cyberspace
This an excellent collection of mainly Australian websites.

Ethical/Moral Decision Making
This site emphasises applied ethics. But the reasons behind the ethical decision-making are in the area of moral philisophy

Big Dummies: Seven Deadly Arguments
This is the second chapter of the Big Dummies Guide to Theology, Philosophy, and Ethics. Again, the plain language used makes the absorbtion of complex concepts easier
